The VG series was initially developed to meet the functional test industry's growing need for a standardized method that could interface "V"ME- and "G"PIB-based test instruments to the customers' product. The VG series has since expanded beyond these early requirements as systems readily adapt to various testing methods and continue to spread into new industries as electronics and processors become standard.
