The genesis of EMC Technologies occurred in the Custom and Functional Test Division of TTI Testron, which was then known as Project Central. In 1997, as Project Central moved away from TTI Testron's primary business focus, key PC personnel and Engineering Management Concepts of California moved on to establish a world-class functional test fixturing company that eventually became EMC Technologies. Since its initial focus on the functional test needs of the military, EMC's base has since evolved to include a mix of military, military contractor, and commercial customers.
Today, EMC designs and manufactures wireless and wired functional test interface equipment that test PCBs and assemblies for a wide variety of applications. Recent commercial applications have included groundbreaking work in support of many industries, including satellite TV/IP, computer servers, medical, networking, and telecom. We've also developed highly custom ITAs to support military airplane programs and multinational missile programs for military clients. Having such a wide variety of demanding customers and challenging products, enables EMC to stay current with the latest testing advancements. Specific areas of proficiency include temperature, high speed, tight tolerance, test racks, and RF test fixtures.
